Left Of Centre Challenge #36

I would firstly like to apologise to any of my Design Teams where I have missed a challenge.
As my facebook friends will know, I have been struggling a lot with my health.
I ended up back in hospital, so I am on strict orders to bed rest and not move about much.

Today see's the start of the new challenge over on the Left Of Centre Creative Challenges. This is challenge #36 and the theme is 'Add Some Sparkle'.

Do you like the new look Left Of Centre blog? Now we have gone weekly, we thought we should have a little change of decoration.

This weeks challenge is sponsored by the very brilliant Aurora Wings.

Aurora Wings do a great selection of images both cute and mysterious and can be used for normal or dark makes.

I chose to use the 'Shades of Blue' image. Shes gorgeous, detailed and offers lots of oppertunities to try different things.

Here is what I have made for this challenge.....

What I used.....

- Faber Castel Polychromatic colouring pencils
- Sparkle medium
- Sikhouette Cameo
- Kanban backing card
- Coredenations card stock
- Pearl spray
- White satin leaves
- White card candi covered in sparkle medium

I hope you like this card and all the sparkle!!

Thank you for visiting. I hopeyou will see that we accept all types of cafting, not just dark!

A Step In The Dark - Challenge #5

A Step In The Dark - Challenge #4

Firstly, welcome back to my blog.

It is time for 'A Step In The Darks' 5th Challenge -
'Anything Goes / Dark Fantasy'.

http://a-step-in-the-darkness.blogspot.co.uk

A Step In The Dark is a Challenge Blog that caters specifically for darker and alternative sides of crafting, so no cheerful cute cards.....yuck!!!

For Challenge #5, we have a wonderful sponsor Aurora Wings

Here are what I have made, I hope you like it -

I chose to use the image 'Dark Gothic Mermaid with Skull'. I picked her because she is dark but also very beautiful and quite a challenge to colour!

I coloured the image with Faber-Castell colouring pencils.
I sprayed the image with mica spray.
The edges are distressed with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.
I used pearl card as matting and the main backing paper is cordinations that has been sanded to distress it.
The shapes have been cut using my Silhouette Cameo and edged with Distress Ink.

I hope this has maybe inspired you to try something different and join in with our current challenge. Dark doesn't have to be gruesome!!!

Thank you for all your support

TheEastWind and Just For Fun

Welcome back fellow crafters, bloggers and friends.

I have had a bit of a rough week, but I am feeling better than I was. Who knew that bed rest was so boring and exhausting.

Today, I have two Design Team Posts to share with you, both of them featuring images from TheEastWind.
________________________________________________________

The first Design Team piece is for the 'Just For Fun' Challenge Blog. This is our first Anything Goes challenge.

I wanted to use a gorgeous image for my make, so I chose one from TheEastWind (Before I because part of their design Team lol).

This is the Image I used -

Aurora Poppy.
I chose this image as I love her gorgeous floating hear and the expression on her face.

Here is my finished card -

I coloured the image with Faber-Castell Colouring Pencils.
The flowers were cut using my Silhouette Cameo, with a black gem added to the center.
I glossy accented her eyes and her finger nails.
The paper is from my stash as well as the kraft card.
I distressed the image edging with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.
I used the same ink on white card candi.

I hope you have been inspired to enter our month long Anything Goes Challenge.....No excuses really is there lol

This image is absolutely stunning and gives you so much shading opportunities when colouring her in.

Here is my finished card -

I coloured the image in simple colours, using Faber-Castell Colouring pencils.
I matted her onto coordinating dotted papers, red and black card from my stash.
The Border is a Tonic Punch.
The embellishments are from my stash - Ribbon, Feather, Pearl Spray, Ribbon Rose, Glittery dots and flat backed gems.

This challenge will run for two weeks on TheEastWind Challenge Blog. I really hope you will pop over and join in with this fab challenge!
